.: Monkey Revolution

One of the reasons I joined MonkeyFilter was so that I could comment in reply to MetaFilter-esque stories and links without having to go through all the rigamarole associated with a MeFi account. The other was because I wanted to be a part of their CD swap. This is my MoFi album.
I was originally going to make an all-Canadian mix but I was placed in a group of three other Canucks, which sort of defeated to point of introducing Canadiana to the masses. Instead, I went with an all Asian mix: a little bit of Japanese hip hop and a little bit of Cantopop.

Instead of a traditional jewel case, I bought these CD cases that are marginally bigger than the CD itself. This meant that there were no liner notes, just a .txt file I included when I burned the discs. I figured that most everyone would just rip the CD and toss the case somewhere and forget about it, so what was the point in designing a cover? The only time you'd even see the CD would be if you took it into your car, and the people I know that do that usually have a big CD binder with no room for the tracklists. Even still, it felt odd sending them out without proper liner notes. I think I'll go back to including them for the next time.
All of the ???'s are, of course, Japanese characters not rendered properly. I tried using the english translation where possible.
