.: iTunes Music Store Woes 2
I wrote an AppleScript to try out the "dock the iPod and play every song in iTunes" solution. That didn't seem to do anything, so this afternoon I went and tried to restore it. Big mistake. Once everything was erased, it wouldn't restart, so I gingerly took it out of the cradle. Everything seemed normal as I heard the familiar clicking sound when you cycle the menu. I put it back into the docking cradle and wait a minute. Then two. Then three. Hmm... it won't mount now. Strange. I take it out of the dock. Bam! The Apple logo is replaced with the dreaded folder-and-exclamation-mark warning that means you've seriously fucked up the operating system. Two hours later of trying every trick to re-restore and I manage to get it working again.
The first thing I do is copy over that bloody song and dismount the iPod. Will it play? 7 seconds... 8 seconds... 9 seconds - *blip* - 10 seconds... 19 seconds... 20 seconds... 21 sec---
Tomorrow I call tech support.
